Abstract:

This paper presents an study to analyze Psychology as Degrees in the Public Spanish Universities in several aspects: its geographic distribution, the relationship between offert and demand, and students mobility. Data show that Psychology is well consolidated with good data in most of the variable measures. However, it appears an important regional unbalance in geographical presence of Psychology with two extensive zones without it and a substantial accumulation of universities with degrees in psychology along the mediterranean area. Scholar places are all covered except in three universities with a clear contrast between some universities with a high relationship offer-demand and others universities with a low relationship. Student mobility is, in general, very low, not only in Psychology but in most studies. Discussion concerned the usefulness of balancing and adjusting the number of students as well as the geographic distribution
