An experiment there was carried out in order to find out the influence of equivalence evaluation and reflexivity training on the competition between different response criteria using the equivalence- equivalence procedure. The two response criteria that were presented were to respond based on the arbitrary relationship among the stimuli and to respond according to the physical similarity (to share an element) between the sample and one of the comparisons. For it, undergraduate students were used as subjects, which were asigned to four groups depending on if they passed or not the equivalence test and the reflexivity training trials. The results showed that 75% of the subjects choose the similarity criterium among 25% of them, who choose the arbitrary relationship. Most of the subjects who had guided their behavior by the arbitrary criterium were found in me groups which had received reflexivity training trials and had passed the equivalence test.
